Drama workshops that explore wellbeing.

We take a person-centered approach, tailoring our sessions to meet the specific needs of each group.

Contact us about socially prescribed opportunities and how to get your groups involved in our classes and courses in London.

Adults

We work collaboratively with adults to reconnect with their community, themselves and their ability to play and have fun. Think of your weekly yoga class but instead it’s drama games and devising to release your weekly tension and have some laughs! Whether you’re part of Balancing Act for two hours or you come back every week everyone’s welcome as part of our community.

Corporate

We at Balancing Act also offer corporate packages to aid in community and team building. If you have a team building or wellbeing day and what the opportunity for your company you benefit from the wellbeing effect of devising and theatre games please do get in touch: [email protected].

Young People

We offer drama workshops that explore wellbeing and work with young people with a person centred approach. These sessions can take many forms and be tailored to meet the needs of the group. Contact us about socially prescribed opportunities and how to get your groups involved in our classes and courses.

We also run small intimate Drama Holiday camps in South East London that use theatre techniques and crafts to boost creativity, confidence and wellbeing. These sessions have a home from home feel as the number of spaces is capped at fifteen and culminates with a short showing of the work we have created together.

If interested in taking part in our next camp please see the poster under upcoming events.

Participant Reflections

Everyone was given the same space, direction and encouragement. No sense of having to be good at something.

I liked the free exploration. It didn’t feel overly structured, but it made me feel liberated.

I loved when we were all doing the same dance together, being silly, because I think it created a sense of community and togetherness.

I like that it was multidimensional, with movement , dance, singing and storytelling. I liked the opportunity to be loud and big. The emphasis is on play and allowing ourselves to be silly.” Basically I liked everything!

The wellbeing aspect was beneficial as we left our troubles outside. I enjoyed singing and being imaginative.
